Hi there! Welcome to my website, “Summer’s Thoughts”. My name is Summer and I’m a sophomore Communications and Digital Studies student at the University of Mary Washington, located in Fredericksburg, VA. This site is dedicated to housing my responses to assignments provided by my DGST 101 professor. Many of my responses are how I feel about certain topics, what I experienced, etc., hence the title of my website – “Summer’s Thoughts”. Of course, as an advocate for the open internet and online collaboration, I more than welcome others to comment on what I post to allow for further discussion. Furthermore, although this website is devoted to work assigned for me through my University, I look forward to continuing my education in digital studies to better apply communication skills, and therefore reinforce what I learn on this website. Moving towards the future, I’d love to see this website as an open and non-judgmental form of free communication on a variety of topics. Perhaps this website will home my professional aspirations in the future, but for now I hope Dr. Berge is pleased with my work!
